Campsite Descriptions

Each camp site has its own picnic table(s). We do not allow individual campfires but have propane fire pits for ambience (not cooking). Propane canisters are available for rental on site (provided for glamping tents only).

DESCRIPTION OF CAMPSITES (2023)

Site #1 Arapaho – Glamping Safari Tent on Platform along Private Stretch of Creek. This Glamping Tent features all the comforts of home along a private stretch of the creek. The tent is 20 x 16 and features a queen size comfortable bed, bunkbeds, kitchen table and wood burning stove. This also features an 8’ deck with chairs. Outside there is your own personal outdoor fire pit that we provide a 5 gallon cylinder and you can purchase additional ones. The tent also has electricity to charge your electronic devices. We provide towels and amenities. This site allows you to include more guests and has space where you can put up a small tent. It also has a hammock. Base is 4 – max of 4.

Site #2 Comanche – Glamping Safari Tent on Platform along Private Stretch of Creek. This Glamping Tent features all the comforts of home along a private stretch of the creek. Site #3 Miwok – Large Teepee on Platform Creekside. This 18′ teepee is located along the creek and is right across the bridge from the lodge and restrooms. Inside we have four thick covered mats and provide a propane fire pit outside.  We provide towels and amenities. All you have to do is bring your sleeping bags. This space will allow 4 in the teepee. If you have more friends there is room to pitch a tent next to the teepee for an additional 2 campers. Base is 4 – max of 6.

Site 3A – Tent Site above Creek #3A. This is a small site located between the pathway between the creekside and plateau sites.  You get to it by passing over the bridge, past the teepees and halfway up the slope to the plateau sites.  It is a small site located above #3 and below #7/8.  During the spring it has its own creek that run along the side of it off the hillside.   This space will allow 4.

Site #3B – Bell Tent on Creek. This large Family Bell Tent is located next to the creek,  The actual tent is 19.5 feet  with ventilation and a rug inside.  It can accommodate up to 8 people and comes with 8 cots.
This tent site is conveniently located along the creek to the right of the teepees. The site is located by itself and it has its own creek front area just for you to enjoy.  Base of 8.

Site #4 Lakota – Canvas Tent on Platform along the Creek. This site has a new 10×12 tent installed in 2018 that features openings on both ends with mosquito netting and also a window overlooking the creek.  The tent features 2 individual cots and bunk bed cots. This particular site has easy access located directly across the bridge from the lodge and restrooms.   There is space to pitch a small tent next to the canvas tent platform if there are more than 4 people in your party. Base is 4 – max of 6

Site #5 Shoshone – Canvas Tent on Platform along the Creekside. This site has a brand new 10×12 tent installed in 2018 and features openings on both ends with mosquito netting and also a window overlooking the creek.  The tent features 2 individual cots and bunk bed cots. This particular site has easy access located directly across the bridge from the lodge and restrooms.   There is space to pitch a small tent next to the canvas tent platform if there are more than 4 people in your party. It is located next to site #5. Base is 4 – max of 6.

Site #6 Navajo – Tent dirt camping along the creek. The tent camping site is right next to the creek between sites #5 and #9. It is a smaller spot located on the sand and is recommended for a small or medium size tent (8X10) – no wider than 8 feet. Max of 4.

Site #6A – Tent dirt camping along the creek. The tent camping site is right along the creek next to #6. It is a smaller spot locate don the sand and is recommended for a small or medium size tent (8×10) no wider than 8 feet. Base of 4 – max of 6.

Site #7 Nex Pierce – Group Tent Site. This is a group tent camping site. This site is located across the bridge and slightly up the hill on the second level – this is a level site and is for dirt camping. Base of 10 – max of 12.

Site #8 Cherokee – Tent Dirt Camping. This is a dirt tent camp site and is next to #7 and between #15 on the plateau. Base of 4 – max of 6.

Site #9 Pueblo Canvas Tent on Platform. This Glamping Tent is 10 x 12 and is located along the creek. It features a double bed and small table. We provide towels and amenities. This is located closest to the lodge. Outside there is your own personal propane fire pit – propane available for rent. Base of 2 max of 3 (small cot available).

Site #10 –. Cheyenne – This Glamping Tent is 10 x 12 and is located along the creek. It features a double bed and small table. We provide towels and amenities. This is located closest to the lodge. Outside there is your own personal propane fire pit – propane available for rent. Base of 2 max of 3 (small cot available).

Site #11 Apache – Canvas Platform Tent This is a canvas tent (10×12) on a platform. This canvas platform tent is the longest distance up the hill and is very private and is a camp favorite.  You head up the hill from the bridge and pass #7 to reach this site. Base of 4 – max of 6

Site #12 –Tent dirt camping along the creek. The tent camping site is right behind the group campfire amphitheater. You get to it by crossing the creek and going right and passing the amphitheater where there is a privacy screen to the area.. It is a large site that can accommodate large tents. Base of 6 – max of 8.

Site #13 Miwok – Teepee on Platform Creekside. This 14′ teepee is located along the creek and is right across the bridge from the lodge and restrooms.  We relocated this teepee so it would be next to our other teepee (site 3) so more than one family could share the teepee experience.   Inside we have four thick covered mats and we provide a propane fire pit outside.  We provide towels and amenities. All you have to do is bring your sleeping bags. This space will allow  4 in the teepee.  Base of 4.

Site #14 Sioux – Group Dirt Tent along the Creek. This site is located along the lower creek and offers three levels.  There is a large platform 16×16 available to pitch one or more of your tents on the top level, the second level for parking and a level along the creek for multiple tents.  This particular site is unique in that it allows you to park some cars right next to your camping spot. It is the most secluded, farthest site away from the majority of campers and requires a short walk to the lodge/restrooms.  We will allow a small camper van in this space. Base of 10 – max of 12.

Site #15 Blackfoot – Group Dirt Tent Camping along the bluff. This group tent site is up the hill and left of #7 and 8. Base of 6– max of 8.

Site #15A Blackfoot – Group Dirt Tent Camping along the bluff. This individual dirt camping site is up the hill and the end of the plateau. It has it’s own 10X12 platform.

Site #17 – Group along the creek. This is our largest site that can accommodate up to 20 campers. This site is across the creek in its own private stretch of the creek – directly across from the basketball court. Base of 15 – max of 20.
